Re: Re-Location
Date: November 29, 2000

It is with excitement and sadness that we must relocate out of the HEAT Center. November 30, 2000 will be our last day in the facility. The staff at the HEAT Center supported us tremendously. Whatever we requested was usually delivered quickly and neatly. The support staff performed every duty with the highest quality. We are going to miss the support you provided in our new office.

We wish to thank you for your support while we were "incubating." Contacts the HEAT Center provided for the Aberdeen Proving Grounds have enabled us to pursue working relationships with Federal Labs working with Federal funding. We have grown from two part time employees to a staff that includes - two full time employees at our new location in the Forest Hill Air Park - an Electronic Design and Assembly plant in Huntsville Alabama ? a Marketing arm at our plant in Fort Worth Texas - a supplier operating in Belgium.

The HEAT Center idea is one that works well and anyone interested in starting a business should evaluate the benefits of it. We will gladly refer anyone to look at the Harford County HEAT Center as a way to economically begin his or her business.

Thanks again for your support through the year...

RE: Physical Therapy Distance Learning Event

Teri Morris

Aberdeen, MD 21001-1213

Dear Teri,

On behalf of the American Physical Therapy Association of Maryland and the University of Maryland Department of Physical Therapy, I want to thank you and your staff for helping make our recent distance learning event such a success.

As you know, this was the first remote transmission with which I have been involved. Your patience and guidance helped me successfully navigate some unfamiliar waters, and I appreciate your assistance.

Ms. Cokley and Ms. Pringle were a pleasure to work with during the event. From a technical standpoint, the two days went very well. The only real technical difficulties we experienced were with signal regeneration. Luckily we were able to locate, isolate and work around that problem relatively quickly on Friday. Bell Atlantic attributed the problem to a misconfigured microphone at the School of Nursing on our campus.

All told, I think the event went very well and we received some positive feedback from the participants. Thanks again for all of your help and I look forward to working with you and your staff in the future. Happy holidays.

Sincerely

George Anderson

Dear Teri:

Just a brief note to thank you for your support in providing a tour stop for our Mid-Atlantic Small Farm Conference. Although we were expecting more participants, I think the group we had was very good. Logistics would have been a problem if more had come. The HEAT Center is a very unique place and is very well suited to a conference the size of ours. I also must compliment you and the staff of the HEAT Center for your support during the conference. You were very helpful in making sure all was correct. I have heard from most of the participants and speakers alike that the center is an excellent and innovative facility.

Again, thank you for a very wonderful arrangement and support of our conference. With this relationship growing I am sure we will be working together again soon. If there is ever anything I can do for you please don't hesitate to call.

Sincerely,

Dear Ms. Mitchell:

I would like to thank you and the HEAT Center for allowing the City of Aberdeen to use your Distance Learning Lab today. The session with Aberdeen and Havre de Grace students proved to be a resounding success and a win-win session for both municipal leaders and the students.

The session revealed that the students are very knowledgeable in municipal happenings and it was transparent that they are concerned about their community.

On behalf of the City Council, I thank you for helping with the coordination of this special learning session. Your support in the community is what makes Aberdeen an "All-America" City.

Very truly yours,
DOUGLAS S. WILSON Mayor

Dear Mr. Harkins:

On behalf of the Mid-Atlantic Technology Applications Center (MTAC), I would like to express my sincerest thanks and appreciation to you personally, as well as to the staff of the HEAT Center, for enabling us to conduct a successful Apparatus Brainstorming session. The support and cooperation of all involved, particularly Bob Infussi and Toni Mitchell, were major factors in helping us accomplish our objectives in the location.

Your kind and encouraging words were also appreciated, and will help us continue our mission in the future. We will most certainly keep you apprised of developments. As we plan other meetings, we will definitely keep the HEAT Center in mind. You have a beautiful facility and staff that are helpful, efficient, and know how to create an atmosphere that is conducive to meeting success. Having been treated so royally, we now consider the HEAT Center our home away from home.
